How we handle your information
Final Expense Marketing Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what finalexpensemarketing.com collects from licensed agents, agencies and call centers: quote-form details, a first-visit record in your browser, and analytics data when analytics are on. It also covers who receives it, how long it is kept, and how to see, correct or delete it.
In short
- Quote requests go to our inbox and customer records; no site database
- The site itself sets no cookies and loads no ad pixels
- Analytics run only when switched on; Google Analytics 4 sets two cookies
- Ask for a copy, a correction or a deletion by email
Who this privacy policy covers
This privacy policy covers finalexpensemarketing.com, the website of Final Expense Marketing, which sells final expense leads and related services to licensed agents, agencies and call centers. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the business that operates Final Expense Marketing.
The site is written for businesses and the people who work in them. What it collects is business contact and buying information: your name, email and phone, the states where you hold a license, and what you want to buy. The site does not sell insurance, is not meant for consumers shopping for coverage, and is not directed to children.
If you are a consumer and believe your information reached us through one of our lead campaigns, you can use the request process below to ask what we hold about you or to ask us to stop contacting you. The consent and source records kept for those campaigns are described in how consent is captured and recorded in our lead campaigns. Orders are governed by our terms of service.
What the quote form collects, and why
The quote form is the only part of this site that sends us what you type. Our server checks each field it receives and ignores any field this section does not describe.
| What you enter | Required | Why we ask |
|---|---|---|
| What kind of buyer you are: an independent agent, an agency, a call center or other | Yes | To understand who is asking and which products fit |
| The products or services you want | Yes, at least one | To prepare your quote |
| The states where you are licensed | Yes | Orders are built for the states where you hold a license |
| Weekly capacity, chosen from a range | Yes | To size an order to the leads, transfers or appointments you can work in a week |
| Monthly budget, chosen from a range | Yes | To recommend a starting order that fits |
| National Producer Number (NPN) | No | To look up your producer licensing record |
| Name, email address and phone number | Yes | To reply to your request |
| How you heard about us, chosen from a list | No | To learn which channels, including search engines and AI assistants, bring buyers to us |
| The contact consent checkbox | Yes | To record that you agreed to be contacted about this request by phone, text message or email |
With each request, the form also sends the version of the consent wording you were shown, so we can later show exactly what you agreed to; the page you sent it from; a random submission ID that stops one request being processed twice; and the first-visit record described in the next section. Our server adds the time it received the request.
Two checks filter automated spam: a hidden field that people never see, and the time between the form loading and being sent. A submission that fails either check is discarded, and neither value is kept with a genuine request.
What the site stores in your browser
The site sets no cookies of its own. On your first visit, it stores a small record in your browser's local storage under the name fem_attribution. The record holds the page you arrived on, the address of the site that sent you (or a note that you came directly), and the time. When the link you followed carried campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term or utm_content) or a Google or Meta click identifier (gclid or fbclid), the record holds those too, and a later visit through a tagged link replaces it.
The record stays in your browser. It reaches us only if you send the quote form, so that we can see which source brought each request, and it is stored whether or not analytics are switched on. Local storage has no expiry date, so the record stays until you or your browser clear this site's data. In a private or incognito window, the browser clears it when you close the last private tab.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics
The site can run two analytics tools. Each runs only when it is switched on for the site, and neither receives what you type into the quote form.
Google Analytics 4
When Google Analytics 4 is switched on, it records the pages you view and how long you engage with them, how far you scroll (at 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent), clicks on our phone and email links and on links to other sites, and the fact that a quote request was sent, without its contents. It uses two first-party cookies, _ga and a second named _ga_ followed by an ID, to tell visitors and sessions apart; Google sets both to expire after two years.
Your browser also sends Google information such as the page address and your IP address. Google says that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google explains how it uses this information on its page "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services", at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To stop Google Analytics from using your data, install Google's opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Vercel Web Analytics
When Vercel Web Analytics is switched on in our hosting account, it counts page views. Vercel says the tool uses no third-party cookies, identifies visitors by a hash created from the incoming request, and discards that visitor session after 24 hours. Each page view can carry the page address, the referring site, filtered query parameters, an approximate location, the device type, the operating system and the browser.
The site loads no advertising pixels, such as Meta's, and no tracking scripts beyond these two tools.
Who receives your information
Information about you goes to a short list of recipients, each for one job:
- Our inbox. Resend, an email delivery service, sends each request to our company inbox, with your email address set as the reply address. Resend's data processing terms make it a processor of the messages it delivers.
- Our customer records. When connected, a copy of each request also goes to the customer-relationship system we use to manage quotes and accounts.
- Our host. Vercel hosts the site and runs the code that receives the form. As the host, it receives technical information about each visit, such as your IP address.
- Analytics providers. Google and Vercel, as described above, when their tools are switched on.
- Our payment processor, if you become a customer and pay by card or bank transfer.
- Authorities or other parties, when the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights or someone's safety.
We do not sell the information you give us on this site, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
How we use it, and the emails we send
We use the information to:
- reply to your request by phone, text message or email, as the consent line on the form says, and prepare your quote;
- look up your producer licensing record, when you give us your NPN;
- set up, deliver and bill your orders and keep business records, if you become a customer;
- see which pages and sources bring quote requests, and improve the site;
- keep the site working, filter spam and meet our legal duties.
If you request a quote or become a customer, we may also email you about our products and services. We may also email agencies and call centers that have not contacted us, using business contact details that the business publishes or that business-data providers supply.
Every marketing email we send includes our postal address and a way to unsubscribe. We honor an unsubscribe within 10 business days, and the unsubscribe option keeps working for at least 30 days after we send the message, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. The FTC notes that the law makes no exception for business-to-business email.
How long we keep it
Each kind of information is kept only as long as its job needs it:
| Information | Where it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Quote requests | Our inbox and customer records | While we discuss or do business with you; if you become a customer, as part of your customer records |
| Customer, order and billing records | Our customer and accounting records | As long as tax, accounting and legal record-keeping require |
| The first-visit record | Your browser | Until you or your browser clear this site's data; local storage has no expiry date |
| Google Analytics 4 data | The detailed data behind explorations and funnel reports, for the retention period set in our Google Analytics property (2 or 14 months for a standard property). Standard aggregated reports are not affected by that setting. | |
| Vercel Web Analytics visitor session | Vercel | Discarded after 24 hours |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
How to see, correct or delete your information
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop marketing to you:
- Email your request to the address on our contact page, with "Privacy request" in the subject line.
- Say what you want: a copy, a correction, a deletion, or no more marketing contact.
- Send it from the email address you gave us, or include the phone number you used, so we can match the request to our records. We may ask for more information to confirm the request is yours.
- Receive our reply by email, saying what we did, or why we could not do part of it, such as records the law requires us to keep.
We will not treat you differently for making a request. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further privacy rights. To stop marketing emails at any time, use the unsubscribe link in any of them.
Security, changes and how to reach us
The site uses HTTPS and tells browsers to keep using HTTPS on later visits. The quote form's server code accepts only the fields described above, and our application logs record that a delivery failed and why, not what you typed. No way of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything the form does not ask for.
When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update its date. Questions about this policy go to the same email address as privacy requests. Our postal address appears in every marketing email we send.
